Free Archived Webinar “Responding to International Disasters: Fundraising and Coordination”
If you are interested in understanding the importance of coordination of fundraising during disasters you may find this archived webinar with Nic Moyer helpful. On February 28, 2011 charity lawyer Mark Blumberg did a webinar with the Coordinator of the Humanitarian Coalition, Nic Moyer, entitled “Responding to International Disasters: Fundraising and Coordination with Nicolas Moyer”.
It is free of charge and was prepared as part of the Charity Law Information Program (CLIP) which is supported in part by a contribution from the Charity Partnership Outreach Program of the Charities Directorate of CRA.
The webinar was presented a few days before the earthquake in Japan. It makes a great case for the importance of joint fundraising when dealing with major international disasters.
